Work-in-Progress Seminars
CAIA holds work-in-progress seminars for its members once a year. These seminars are a forum for staff, post graduates and industry partners to present, discuss and share research. They are often run in conjunction with local cultural institutions or community groups interested in developing partnerships with CAIA and the University.
Botanical Gardens
February 2008
On 19 February 2008 CAIA hosted a work-in-progress day for staff, students and associates at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart. Papers were given by speakers from various fields, including Riawunna, History and Classics, and English, Journalism and European Languanges. Oak Lodge
Richmond, Tasmania
December 2007
In December staff and students from the University joined staff from the State Library of Tasmania for a day at the National Trust property, Oak Lodge, in Richmond. Maria Island
November 2006
In November last year CAIA members met with the Heritage Council, Parks and Wildlife, Maria Islands Walks, Port Arthur Historic Trust and the Convict Listing Team. The day on Maria Island included talks by University staff and students, as well as a Round Table discussion on Cultural Heritage Futures.
