BA, BFA and BCA Honours Research Projects in
Cultural Environments and Heritage

Intending honours students from any Australian university are invited to apply for a Cultural Environments and Heritage (CEH) research project. These projects are available in disciplines offered within the Faculty of Arts, including Aboriginal Studies, Classics, English, History, Journalism and Media Studies, and Sociology.

This exciting initiative of the Faculty of Arts offers honours students internships in outstanding cultural institutions located within the extraordinary cultural environments of Tasmania. Partner institutions include: Heritage Tasmania, the Morris Miller Library (University of Tasmania), the National Trust (Tasmania), the Tasmanian Archive and Heritage Office, the Port Arthur Historical Site Management Authority, Narryna Heritage Museum, the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. Successful applicants will undertake their honours research under the joint supervision of an academic from their home discipline and a specialist from the cultural institution.

Generous honours scholarships are available. Information about entry to the CEH Honours Program and honours projects for 2012 can be viewed here.

For information about scholarships supporting these projects please visit the University Scholarships Office website.
